Can I make a slightly blurry photo clearer online?
You can try EnhanceWizard Standard on mild softness using the Unblur goal, then compare the same subject at 100%. It shares the general Standard enhancement model. The existing demonstrations also include 2× enlargement; they are not proof of focus recovery. Severe motion blur or a missed focus point may remain blurred.
Mildly soft phone photos with useful subject detail still visible.
Users willing to compare faces and edges against the original rather than accepting every sharp-looking change.
When to choose another workflow
Directional motion streaks, completely missed focus or missing facial detail.
Important unreadable letters or numbers: use a fresh scan or photograph when possible.
THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
EnhanceWizard at a glance
Free trial
An eligible Free Standard task requires no account or payment card.
Daily allowance
1 accepted image per device and up to 2 per shared IP each UTC day, whichever limit is reached first. The shared service budget also applies.
Image size
Free input and output must each have a longest side of no more than 1,024 pixels.
Formats and watermark
JPG, PNG and WebP. Standard image downloads have no watermark.
Processing and privacy
Your preview stays in the browser until you start. Standard processing uploads the image to private service storage and third-party processing providers; it does not run entirely on your device. Service-owned originals and results are scheduled for deletion within 24 hours; provider retention is separate.
HD processing
Standard HD is enabled. Sign in and review exact output dimensions and credits before processing; service availability is checked when you submit.
Face restoration
Optional face restoration is enabled for the Enhance goal and is off by default. It may alter facial details; compare identity against the source.
An accepted free attempt remains used if processing fails or is cancelled. Unused allowance does not roll over; signing in does not reset it. Processing depends on service availability; your allowance is checked before a task starts. Read the help and limits ↗
These actual Standard 2× results show how a low-resolution image can change. They demonstrate enlargement and enhancement together, not recovery from severe motion blur or a controlled out-of-focus benchmark.
Simulated low-quality inputStandard result
Drag the divider or use arrow keys in steps of five percent. Home and End show the full result or original.
Pets
Whiskers in the afternoon
Inspect the whiskers against the sofa and the fur around the eyes. Look for clearer boundaries without halos or new strands that change the subject.

Example originals are AI-generated simulated low-quality inputs, not customer photographs. Comparisons use actual Standard model outputs. Dimensions, scale and settings are shown for each evaluation; results vary by source.
THREE SIMPLE STEPS
How to unblur a mildly soft image
01
Find the sharpest source
Choose the camera original or the best frame. Start with an eligible JPG, PNG or WebP within the displayed size limit.
02
Try Unblur once
Use the Unblur goal with Standard processing. This uses the shared enhancement model; leave optional face restoration off for your first review.
03
Inspect meaningful edges
Use the divider and 100% view to check eyes, whiskers and lettering. Keep the original if halos, changed features or persistent blur outweigh the improvement.

What you see
Likely problem
Useful next step
Mild softness around most edges
Limited resolution or slight focus softness
Try one Standard pass and compare the subject at 100%.
A soft subject with a sharp background
Focus on the wrong plane
Try only modest improvement; use another frame if subject detail is missing.
Doubled edges or directional streaks
Camera shake or subject motion
Use a sharper frame or retake. This tool has no dedicated motion-deconvolution engine.
Square blocks or ringing around letters
JPEG compression
Find the camera original. Check letters against the source rather than trusting reconstruction.
A CLOSER LOOK
What to look for in your result.
A slightly soft image and a photograph with strong camera shake are different problems. Standard enhancement can help with mild softness; missing detail and severe motion blur may remain.
Portraits: check identity before sharpness
Select a clear, reasonably sized original. Inspect both eyes, the shape of the mouth and small facial marks after processing. Sharper eyelashes are not worth a changed face. Optional face restoration, when enabled, may alter details and is a separate choice rather than a promise of accurate reconstruction.
Text: legible does not always mean correct
AI can produce plausible letter shapes where the input is ambiguous. Compare every important word with the original source. For a receipt, address, contract or label, a fresh scan or another photograph is usually more reliable than estimating missing characters. Use our document clarity guide for capture and OCR preparation.
Whole images: identify the blur first
Directional streaks suggest motion; a soft subject against a sharp background suggests missed focus; blocky edges suggest compression. Standard may improve light softness and compression artifacts, but it is not a dedicated motion-deconvolution engine. Keep intentional depth-of-field blur in the background.
GOOD QUESTIONS
Before you begin.
Can I unblur a picture with severe motion blur?
Severe motion blur is not reliably recoverable with this tool. Try mild images and compare honestly; the result may still be blurred.
Can it unblur text in an image?
Standard may sharpen some edges, but it cannot verify letters or numbers. Do not use reconstructed text as the sole source for important information.
Should I sharpen a naturally blurred background?
Usually not. Background blur can be an intentional part of the photograph. Evaluate the subject rather than expecting every part of the image to become sharp.
